6 New Years Goals that will Never Go Out of Style

2018 is yours. The New Year welcomes a fresh start to anyone who wants to take it! There’s no time to waste in continuing to strive to be the best version of yourself. Be the type of person that takes every chance to improve themselves, goes on adventures, and be kind to those around you. I’d like to share my New Years Goals that you actually want to achieve!
So, check in with yourself and read on…

Practice Self-Care

Sometimes you are so busy taking care of everyone else you forget to take time for yourself. Treat yourself to a bubble bath and order takeout for the day you are too exhausted to cook. It’s important to not only take care of your physical health but also your mental. Do what works for you -it can be easy to feel overwhelmed with your busy schedule and life’s curve balls. Going on long walks or talking to your bestie can be just what the doctor prescribed.
Make it a personal challenge to take a picture of something everyday that makes you happy. It can be a meet-up with a friend, taking in nature’s beautiful surroundings, or ordering your favourite café drink. You’ll be able to take in life’s many joys and strive for long-term happiness. At the end of the year you’ll have a gallery of images and long-lasting memories.

Be Open-Minded

Sounds easy, right? Without even realizing it, you may have a constant negative mind track when it comes to comparing yourself to others’ success or experiencing self-doubt. By turning these negative thoughts into positive ones, you can enrich your whole view on life and that is invaluable.
Start with simple positive thinking. Let me explain…
Instead of grumbling about Mondays, switch your mindset to “this is a brand-new week and a chance to accomplish my goals!” If you’re thinking “I wish I was as successful as her,” change your train of thought to “she is so successful and a role model I can aspire to be like.” It takes time to make this a habit; nonetheless, by transforming your thoughts into positive constructive ones, you can never lose!

Be Kind

There is no such thing as being too kind when it comes to those in need or the people you love. Donate to a cause you truly care about or buy a coffee and sandwich for someone in need. It’s the little things that count and can make a big difference to someone’s day. But don’t stop there…
Your family and friends are your inner circle and support system. Make time for the ones you love. Something small and unexpected can put a smile on their face! Treat your mother to lunch, gift your friend a personalized spa goodie bag, or organize a well-deserved girls’ night out.

Per-fect your Morning Routine

Waking up early is the recipe for a winner’s mindset. I believe it’s the perfect time to start the day on a high note. More time makes room for increased creativity, reflective moments, staying active, and eating a healthy breakfast, which makes you more productive. One hour earlier each morning can add up to 15 days in a year -think about all the things you can accomplish!

Be a Style Influencer

Are you stuck in a rut and always wearing the same thing every week? Maybe you stress out and decide last minute in the morning what to wear to work. Some sound advice is to take Sunday night to plan your wardrobe for the next five days, in that way, you can dress for success! Let’s switch mindsets to weekend attire…
You’ll always have more freedom to dress however you like during the weekend. There’s always new trends to try and one of the most popular is wearing lingerie as outerwear. Take your look beyond the sheets and dare to be bold by tucking your silk lace camisole into a slinky pair of jeans or dress up a casual city look with a stunning lace kimono. Stop Procrastinating

Let’s face it -if you set your mind to it and did all the things you kept putting off you’d be more productive! Focus on the “why” you keep procrastinating. Then think of how good you would feel if you complete the task at hand. Have you been meaning to update the décor of your current living space? Take the time to decorate and organize the place you call home – you’d be amazed at how much better you feel clutter-free and the transformation of your not-so humble abode. Be realistic about your goals and reward good behavior!

You were already a star before! Let this New Year be your chance to shine even more. Transforming your life in small or big ways can have a lasting impact and increase your self-confidence. Cheers to a new chapter in your life. 😉
